Christmas and More!

Good evening, all!

Long time, no blog, huh? This holiday season has really gotten the best of my time management. It is a skill that I have yet to master in my 17 months. My mama (who is helping me blog this evening) says that she's no good at time management either, so I'm hoping to get a little education from Papa on that front. Of course, he would have to be able to be around for me to learn how he manages his time...but I digress.

Things have been going well here in southeast Iowa. We have had a LOT of snow and cold, Christmas, and a wedding since we last chatted. Let me tell you all about it!

Christmas preparations began rather late this year according to Mama. She says that she tried to cram too much into a short period of time. Those tasks include double batches of Grandma Shirley and Great Grandma Bernice's spritz and sugar cookies. What a task! I helped by cutting out cookies and decorating them, but most of all eating them! Yummy!

A few short days later, I made the last minute super busy trip to the mall to see Santa. When Mama and Papa asked me if I wanted to meet Santa and sit on his lap, I gave them an adament head nod of approval, but when it came down to it, I preferred to sit on Mama's lap next to Santa instead. Papa took some nice pictures of our endeavor.

Soon enough, it was time to go to Albert City to celebrate Christmas. We made it to A.C. in just the nick of time (Thursday afteroon) before we ended up snowed in at Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's. We were literally stuck there from Thursday until Saturday afternoon when we went to Great Grandpa and Grandma Hogrefe's for another Christmas celebration. It was good being able to spend some quality time with my toys after Christmas--especially my new sled and snow clothes. However, we missed out some of the traditional and fun Christmas celebrations.

Mama, Papa, and I playing in the snow.

Here's Papa and I out sledding. I was snug and warm in my cab!

Here's me at the Hogrefe Christmas Party. I loved Grandma Hogrefe's footstool!

Finally, after we returned from Christmas, it was soon time to turn around and head to Des Moines to help Uncle Tyler and Laura celebrate their wedding on New Year's Eve. I was the "ring bearer" (but I didn't really carry the rings--I thought the pillow was better to throw!) and looked very dapper in my suit if I do say so myself. Mama was a little worried about how I would feel about walking down the aisle, but I ended up doing pretty well!

Here's me up on the stage saying "hi!" to Laura, Tyler, and Papa. Grandma A is there in the red chasing after me as she did lovingly all evening.

Here's Papa, me, Uncle Tyler, and Uncle Colin before the wedding.

Here's me just after getting dressed before the wedding. I think I look pretty dapper in my suit!

Hugs and loves.
