I'm almost a big brother!

Our last Cubs game as a family of 3! The Cubbies won--and it was GREAT!

Good evening to all my beloved followers. Things are going swimmingly here in southeast Iowa. I hope all of you are well.

Things are really starting to get exciting here. I've been hearing about a lot of "lasts" lately.

Today Mama had her last day of work before Baby H 2010 arrives. She said that she was really glad because even though she's been working 6-hour shifts instead of 12-hour shifts, it's been pretty hard on her. She says it's because she's been having contractions for 15 days straight. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I know that it caused a bit of a mental meltdown on her part to her doctor last week and a prescription for prenatal massages. Papa says we must "step lightly" around her for a while. I'm sure that I'm constantly so lovable that no changes are required on my part. :-) Papa on the other hand...be careful! Ha ha ha.

Thursday will be my last day at daycare. I can hardly believe it. Mama and Papa are very, very excited that I will not have to go to Frog Hollow anymore. Although it was been a good daycare, they would much prefer not to have to drop me off there. I tend to throw a fit when I get dropped off, and it really makes them sad. I tried to tell them that it is just a developmental milestone, but they don't really tend to buy that. I just do it to make sure that they know that I really, really love them. Maybe I'll bring treats to my friends on my last day. I'm actually quite lucky because I will still get to see a few of my daycare friends on play dates.

A final last that is coming up soon is a family day on Saturday. I'm not exactly sure what we will do as a family of 3 before Baby H 2010 comes, but I'm sure that it will be fun filled.

Bottom line, things are shaping up around here in anticipation of my new brother or sister. I really can't wait. I keep hugging and kissing the baby in Mama's belly and after meeting my friend Adam's baby brother Aaron at a play date the other day, I really can't wait for the "baaaabbbbyyyy" to come join us to play with me. I kept hugging baby Aaron and hope to be able to do the same to my new brother or sister soon.

Our last Cubs game as a family of 3! Colin and Mish came too. It was BIG fun!

I'll keep you posted on if I have a new brother or sister. Mama predicts girl. Papa predicts boy. I haven't given my prediction yet...I'm waiting for the last minute.

Hugs and loves.

Happy Easter!

Good afternoon, all and most importantly, Happy Easter! What a wonderful Easter I have had! Let me tell you all about it.

Gramma and Uncle Jess came for a visit Friday evening and left this morning. We had a great time. We went to the outlet mall in Williamsburg Saturday morning, out to the Vine for a great lunch at the Vine, and then to the Coralville mall Saturday afternoon. I got in a little playtime at playland. Yippee! We spent most of the afternoon shopping and then went for a yummy dinner at HuHot. I'm not that big of a fan of HuHot, but Gramma and Mama sure are! I was smart and brought along something special to eat. After supper I was pretty sleepy, but talked Gramma and Jess into playing ball with me outside for a while before bed. Boy I love to play outside! (And of course, I get my way pretty easily when Gramma is around--I didn't even have to beg much!)

My Easter basket!

Today the Easter bunny came in full force--several times! When I first woke up, he had left a bag full of pool/sand toys. I had a great time playing with them right away. A little later in the morning, I found a basket that the bunny had left in the basement. There was one for me full of fruit snacks and toys (a bunny, book, truck, ball and glove) and there was also a basket for Baby H 2010. Papa gave me a marshmallow and chocolate bunny this morning. It was sooooooooo good! I never get candy, so Mama was a little worried about how I would behave at church after getting candy first thing in the morning. I surprised her, though.

Yummy chocolate marshmallow bunny!

We went to church after a good bath and Gramma got me dressed in the super hip Easter outfit she got me. I was full of hugs and loves for Mama and Papa. I kept giving them a "family hug" where I pull all of us together so that we touch heads. I gave plenty of kisses during church too. Mama keeps saying that was her favorite part of the day. (She's such a typical hormonal pregnant lady.)

Papa and I. Notice my cute outfit and how Papa coordinated his outfit with mine.

After church we had a great Easter dinner full of ham, hashbrown casserole, salads, rolls, and corn. I ate like a champ and had to go down for a long nap after 'cause of food overload.

After my nap, I awoke to find out that the Easter bunny had come one more time! He had left tons of eggs in the back yard for me. They were full of great things like fruit snacks, fish crackers, and money. I had a blast finding the eggs, picking them up, and putting them in my basket.

Here's my haul! And Mama's Red Lobster gift certificate from the Easter bunny.

After opening all the Easter baskets and finding the eggs, it was time for Papa to go to work. I was sad that he had to go, but we had such a great day together that it was okay.

Just a bit of what the Easter bunny brought us.

I hope you all had as good of an Easter as I had. It was a great Easter, but I sure am looking forward to next Easter when I'll have a brother or sister to run around with me when I look for eggs. I can't wait for this baby to come join our family--an neither can Mama. :-)

Happy Easter and hugs and loves...
